The submission statement made for the town’s entry was put together by Harborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce, Harborough Market, Sustainable Harborough and Graham Peers, tourism officer for the town.  Market Harborough’s rebirth has been supported by a strong community spirit from shops, market traders, community organisations, individuals and the council working on separate but linked projects for the good of the town. Therefore, we are once again running our Buddy Scheme, an initiative that is designed to make a visit to the Belfast Christmas Market accessible to all. Each year the popularity of the market grows and with this come bigger visitor numbers. We have identified between 10am and 12noon on Monday to Wednesday as the best visiting time for those with accessibility issue, when the market is a little quieter. Visitors and their buddies will have space to stroll around the market comfortably and avail of complimentary tea or coffee at the end of their visit. Market assistants will also be on...
