Market Place to bring authentic International flavour to Sheffield



Fargate, Town Hall Square & Peace Gardens are to welcome the return of the tasty Continental Market from Wednesday 14th – Sunday 18th October 2015. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a huge range of global foods, sourced from across the world in addition to a great variety of craft, all handpicked for the 5 day market!  

Over 50 traders will be representing a selection of countries from across Europe including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Greece, Wales and many more. All products will be authentic to the trader’s origin country, allowing shoppers to taste the flavours of the world. 


Some of the delicious foods available will include freshly baked macaroons, French tarts and pastries, Caramelised nuts, Normandy Crepes, a Thai noodle bar, BBQ Texas Smoker and The Wiltshire Chilli Farm who grow their own chillis to create homemade chilli products including jams and even chilli chocolate! If you’re feeling adventurous, why not try something different and visit Meats of the World, home of the Ostrich, wild boar, kangaroo and crocodile burger! 




Once you have tasted as much food as you can, why not wash it down with some refreshing bottled Quirky beers and alcoholic flavoured mead wines.


Sheffield will also be introduced to some fantastic crafts during the Continental Market where there will be a humongous display of Dutch flowers, bulbs and plants available. There will also be a selection of metal sculptures, wine holders, beautiful leather diaries and a variety of unique Russian Dolls.

“Market Place and our traders are really looking forward to visiting Sheffield for the fourth time in 2015. The city centre is a fantastic location for our traders to show off their produce and we always receive a fantastic welcome from the people of the city. There is a great selection of traders and products this October so there is sure to be something for everyone!”
