Sauchiehall Street to welcome an abundance of Global flavours and smells

From Wednesday 15th- Sunday 19th June, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Glasgow for a fantastic 5-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty continental treats as well as unique crafts and gifts from all over!

Italian traders Tentazioni UK will be in Glasgow with a selection of delicious cheeses, Soft nougat and biscuits, which have proven to be a popular staple at the Global Markets. Having traded in Rome, Business owner Zampieri Giovani used their own initiative and innovative to bring their passion for food to the UK 6 years ago. They describe their products as 'indescribable!' as they cannot be compared but they do offer something for everyone and all tastes. They have a huge range of products and use the best processes to meet the individual needs of all their products. Their new product, Gorgonzola Piccante is a stronger type of Piccante and Market Manager Matthew Hartwell can highly recommend!


In addition to Tentazioni UK there will be other delicious foods from across the globe including Catalan and Mediterranean tapas, Indian indulgences, Jamaican jerk chicken, Greek gyros and even French crepes with a huge array of toppings!

It’s not all about food though as Market Place will be bringing a fantastic range of crafts and gifts from a number of countries such as South American knitwear, Amber jewellery sourced from the Baltic Sea and the gigantic Dutch Flowers on Tour with a range of bulbs, flowers, plants and garden furniture, all transported from Holland. Local favourite Wendy’s Hoose will also be returning to the market with a range of beautiful upcycled furniture and home gifts.


Market Place Markets Manager, Matthew Hartwell is looking forward to return to Glasgow with the huge Global Market:
"Our traders love coming to Glasgow because we are always given the warmest of welcomes and the market is always such a great hit. During our visit we will be celebrating Father’s Day by handing out a number of vouchers to visiting father’s to spend at any of the stalls at the market! Sheffield Global Village Market

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world! Along Fargate will be the Greek Grill House who along with business owner, Dimitrios will be offering the famous and extremely traditional flavours of Greece. After owning a busy restaurant in Zante, Dimitrios believes his tasty Greek foods are so popular because they take you back to your holiday as all ingredients from the Pitta Bread and flour used to the cooking methods are all traditional and authentic.
