Market Place will be returning to Hanley this March for another celebration of Culture! From Wednesday 22nd – Saturday 25th March, Tontine Square and Upper Market Square will be playing home to over 30 different traders who have come from all over the world!
There will be a fantastic selection of crafts and unique gifts at the Continental Market as shoppers can explore a unique range of Jewellery all hand-made from recycled Cutlery and sculptures all the way from Zimbabwe. Luis Cordova with his South American clothing, knitwear, jewellery, dream catchers and traditional musical instruments. Amber jewellery selected from the Baltic Sea to Fair Trade wooden furniture and carvings all the way from Kenya. For that unique touch in the home there will be handmade ceramics including money banks, incense burners, figurines, candle houses made in Lithuania.
For the food lovers, you will be able to get your mouths around a huge amount of continental flavour. Le Petit Gascon “the singing French bakers” provide welcomed entertainment when they break out into traditional French Street Music and with their demonstrations baking an enormous selection of French breads, viennoiserie and Savoury twists all made and baked fresh right in front of your eyes! Then there is our traditional German Salami House with such a huge selection the choice is so difficult but they all taste great. The best offer is the selection of salamis for £10.00 you will still be eating them at Christmas. We all know how Italians love their grub well there will be tasty Italian Street Food including Arancini, Home-made Meatball Subs, Home-made sausage ciabatta, Panzarotti, Chicken meatball Panini, Fresh Cooked Pasta, Cannoli Siciliani, so the Italians say “Andiamo!”
