LINCOLN IS TO WELCOME THE FIRST EVER STREET FOOD FESTIVAL FROM MARKET PLACE EUROPE

Market Place are set to arrive in Lincoln where shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a huge mix of authentic continental treats from Friday 17th March to Sunday 19th March 2017, bringing the High Street to life!



Lincoln will be host to an array of traders from all over the world, bringing specialist street food from their country of origin. Just some of the mouth-watering flavours what will be drawing in visitors to the Street Food Festival are to include Catalan tapas from sol solet with a range of dishes from Patatas Bravas to traditional Catalan albondigas. Dimitrios from Athens and owner of the Greek Grill House will be serving up traditional Greek Gyros and fresh filo spinach and feta cheese pies called spanakopita. Minot French Creperie preparing freshly made crepes and savoury Galettes with a range of fillings, a Thai noodle bar and even Ostrich and Kangaroo burgers so get Hopping along to Lincoln High Street!

Food will be cooked fresh on Lincoln High Street with ample seating available to sit and enjoy a bit to eat on Cornhill. In the evenings on Friday and Saturday the continental street bar will be open with live music until 9pm.
Market Place Event Manager, Chris Hulley has said:

We are really excited to be returning to Lincoln High street with a range of amazing street food I’m sure there will be something to tantalise everyone’s taste buds.

Visit the Street Food Weekend and have a taste of our food, talk to out traders as they love talking about their food/culture.

Opening hours of the market are:
Friday to Saturday: 09:00 to 21:00

Sunday: 10:00 to 17:00

Harborough District Council is offering new food businesses the chance to test their business ideas for free at their award winning Harborough Indoor Market. Harborough Market, which is operated by Market Place, is participating in the high profile, Love Your Local Market Campaign led by the National Association of British Market Authorities. They are offering a 6-week rent free period in a bid to attract new traders to the hall and to promote the market as the ideal location for start-up businesses.
