Pitch Perfect: Exeter Christmas Market 2016

Pitch Perfect is a competition supported and organised by Market Place, operators of the Exeter Christmas Market. It offers a young business the unique opportunity to expose their products to over 1 million visitors at the award-winning Market FREE of charge. To date every winning business has gone on to continue trading and their business has received that all-important cash injection vital to success in the early stages of growth.

The competition is open to:
  • Businesses or sole traders operating for at least 6 months but for no more 24 months.
  • Businesses or sole traders selling quality products (in the categories listed below) deemed by Market Place to be of interest to visitors at the Exeter Christmas Market. 

Eligible Product Categories
  • Art / Craft
  • Fashion
  • Food (not fast food, confectionery or drinks)
  • Handmade Toys
  • Festive themed products

Winners will receive
  • A chalet at the Exeter Christmas Market from 19 November – 18 December 2016. 
  • Inclusion in an extensive PR campaign.
  • A business mentor session (3 hrs) in advance of the market opening.

Rules for entrants
  • Applicants must submit (by email) applications no later than Friday 16 September 2016 
  • All applicants must be aged 18 years or over
  • The business / sole trader must not be currently registered to trade as part of the Exeter Christmas Market
  • The business/ sole trader must have been trading or registered for no less than six months but for more than 24 months
  • Product samples cannot be included as part of the application
  • The business must be able to trade for the full opening hours of the Exeter Christmas Market: Saturday 19 November – Sunday 18 December 2016.
  • The winner is responsible for branding and dressing their chalet in conjunction with the Christmas Market guidelines
  • Canvassing will result in disqualification.

  • All applications must be submitted by email to emma@marketplaceeurope.co.uk 
  • The winning business will be notified w/c 26 September 2016
  • The winning business must be in a position to begin trading from 19 November during the following hours*:
Mon – Wed 10am – 7pm
Thurs – Sat 10pm – 9pm 
Sunday 11am – 6pm

* please note trading dates and times may be subject to change

Sheffield Global Village Market

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world! Sheffield welcomes Global and exotic flavours this Autumn

From Wednesday 2 nd to Sunday 6 th November 2016, Market Place will be returning to Sheffield with an array of traders representing a number of countries from across the world. Bringing the very best flavours, crafts and goodies, there is bound to be something for everyone at this family friendly event. Hungry shoppers will have plenty of culinary delicacies to choose from including authentic French cheeses, Spanish paella cooked to a traditional family recipe, Italian pizza cooked in a wood fire oven at the market, delicious Greek gyros, succulent hog roast and even Thai noodles!
