Newcastle to welcome delicious global flavours for exciting International Food Festival

From Thursday 8th to Saturday 17th September 2016 Grey Street and Grainger Street will be bursting with flavours from across the globe as over 25 global traders will descend on Newcastle! From the same company that bring the Continental Christmas Market, there will be plenty to explore and definitely something for everyone whether you’re looking for that perfect dinner, light lunch, sweet treat or just something new to try!


Why not explore the very best of Thailand with some tasty noodles, try the ever popular Spanish churros, push your taste buds with a unique burger made from Ostrich, Impala, Crocodile and Wild Boar or even take home the best of France with some delicious French tarts and breads, baked fresh on site throughout the day!

Market Place friendly traders will be using the very best and fresh ingredients to prepare, cook and serve the very best culinary experience for shoppers who will be drawn to the market through the wonderful smells! From Mediterranean tapas and Spanish paella to Greek gyros and Polish beer, the International Food Festival is bound to bring a real buzz to the city centre.


Market Place Operations Manager, Chris Hulley is looking forward to returning to Newcastle this September:

The opening times for the International Food Festival will be:
Weekdays and Saturdays: 9:00am – 18:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am to 17:00pm

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world! Along Fargate will be the Greek Grill House who along with business owner, Dimitrios will be offering the famous and extremely traditional flavours of Greece. Bringing the very best flavours, crafts and goodies, there is bound to be something for everyone at this family friendly event. Hungry shoppers will have plenty of culinary delicacies to choose from including authentic French cheeses, Spanish paella cooked to a traditional family recipe, Italian pizza cooked in a wood fire oven at the market, delicious Greek gyros, succulent hog roast and even Thai noodles!
