The colourful Carnival returns with tasty International Market

From Thursday 14th July to Sunday 17th July 2016, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Kingsway Promenade as part of the fantastic 4-day Carnival. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world!

Just some of the delicious treats which will be on offer include Spanish Paella cooked to a traditional family recipe, Greek Gyros and Moussaka, German Bratwurst and Currywurst sausages, French crepes and noodles all the way from Thailand to name just a few!

The International Market will also be bringing a huge range of interesting and unique crafts and gifts from across the globe. Casteneda will have a great selection of knitwear and beautiful jewellery from South America along with pretty handmade soaps from Marseille. Dutch Flowers on Tour will also be adding to the vibrancy and colours of the carnival, bringing a huge array of flowers, bulbs, plants and garden accessories, all the way from Holland.

Market Place Markets Manager, Nirmal Bassi is looking forward for Market Place to be returning to Cleethorpes for the much anticipated Carnival:
"Market Place has brought a fantastic Continental Market as part of the Cleethorpes Carnival for the past 5 years so it will be fantastic to return! Our traders always have a great time in Cleethorpes as we always gain such a warm welcome and the carnival brings a real buzz and generates a great atmosphere!”  

Pete Ward, Chief Executive of Young’s Seafood Limited also expressed their excitement for the Carnival as Chief Sponsors of the Carnival:

Last year the Carnival welcomed a record-breaking 40,000 people to Cleethorpes to watch the parade and this year we’re hoping to do even better.
