Market Place to return to the prestigious Bedford River Festival 2016

From Friday 15th - Sunday 17th July, Market Place will be bringing a fantastic selection of traders from across the globe to Bedford Embankment where shoppers will be spoilt for choice between tasty continental flavour to unique crafts and gifts from a number of different countries.

The 3-day festival will be jam-packed with plenty of entertainment, fun activities and of course the Continental Market where Jimmy Bean will be offering visitors refreshing teas of coffee from a huge variety of flavours including chocolate truffle, maple syrup, almond, coconut and banana and even Dutch apple pie!

Market Place will also be bringing a huge German Schwenkgrill to cook the very popular Bratwurst and Currywurst sausages for a truly Continental lunch whilst there will also be Spanish churros, freshly baked French tarts and exotic meats from around the world including Ostrich, Impala and Wild Boar for diners to choose from!

Market Place Operations Manager, Chris Hulley is looking forward to returning to the much anticipated Bedford River Festival:
"The Bedford River Festival is one of the biggest events in the area and it is great to be a part of such a popular event bringing in huge crowds. Our Continental traders are always very excited to join us at the Festival and are always very warmly welcomed by the hungry shoppers, looking for something different.”

The Continental Markets will be open from:
Friday: 10am to 6pm (on the river side of The Embankment only)
Saturday: 11am to 11pm
Sunday:11am – 8pm

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world! Along Fargate will be the Greek Grill House who along with business owner, Dimitrios will be offering the famous and extremely traditional flavours of Greece. After owning a busy restaurant in Zante, Dimitrios believes his tasty Greek foods are so popular because they take you back to your holiday as all ingredients from the Pitta Bread and flour used to the cooking methods are all traditional and authentic. Bringing the very best flavours, crafts and goodies, there is bound to be something for everyone at this family friendly event. Hungry shoppers will have plenty of culinary delicacies to choose from including authentic French cheeses, Spanish paella cooked to a traditional family recipe, Italian pizza cooked in a wood fire oven at the market, delicious Greek gyros, succulent hog roast and even Thai noodles!
