National Spanish Paella Day: Bella Paella

To celebrate the National Spanish Paella Day, we are presenting Bella Paella! The authentic Spanish family business travels all across the UK and Northern Ireland throughout the year, allowing thousands of people to enjoy their traditional family recipe!

Business owner Julian Jimenez started trading in February 2004 and uses local products from Spain where his family are from. The ingredients include condiments and chorizo, meat such as pork and chicken, and vegetables.

As Julian's family live within mainland Spain, their paella has a greater meat focus despite fish being the traditional ingredient. However, when Julian visits coastal cities, he visits local fisheries and buys fresh fish which is then used that day in his Paella, cooked in front of the customer.

The original Paella recipe has been handed down through Julian's family and indeed came from his Grandmother who sadly passed away at the very impressive age of 102! Whilst a few relatives of Julian's have tried to add a little to the recipe, many still use the traditional recipe even to this day!

Julian believes his recipe is special and unique because "as my grandmother would always say... you need to cook the food with love and passion and you will get the best results!" Bella Paella are fanatical about their paella and are always happy to answer any questions, just find the Spanish themed stall!

To find out even more about Bella Paella, you can visit their website and see where they will be travelling to next!
