NABMA Regional Meeting at Harborough Market

Market Place together with NABMA invite you to the upcoming Love Your Local Market regional meeting at the Harborough Market on the 15th March. This is an opportunity not to be missed as delegates will learn more about the interesting developing industry, hear from knowledgeable and inspiring speakers, get to meet other industry experts, all from within the double award winning Harborough Market. The theme of this year’s Love Your Local Market roadshow is Youth and you will be able to hear how others are creating opportunities for young entrepreneurs to enter the business world through markets.

The newly redeveloped indoor market received a £410,000 face lift in 2013/14 and Market Place (Management) Limited were brought in initially on an interim basis to oversee the temporary relocation of the traders whilst the works were carried out, monitor the redevelopment and finally resettle the traders in their new Indoor Market.  

Market Place won the contract to partner the local authority in the ongoing management of the Indoor Market and since then the market has gone from strength to strength now trading 7 days a week, offering even greater opportunities for local traders and businesses and with significantly increased footfall. The market has also become a clear fundamental part of the beautiful and historic Market Harborough as an integrated communal space for many residents, visiting shoppers and the community as a whole.  

This is a great opportunity to see how an effective partnership with the Private Sector can bring major improvements and benefits to local authority markets through a sustainable partnership.

Sheffield Global Village Market

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market.
