Market Place have arrived in Carlisle as part of the Easter Celebrations, bringing a fantastic 5-day International Market to the city center. There is an abundance of tasty global flavours and unique craft for the entire Bank Holiday.

Market Place and traders enjoy visiting Carlisle and other cities throughout the year and even more so when they discover ways in which they can give back to the local community. Market Place Managing Director, Allan Hartwell has brought a cheque for £1,000 to donate to the Cumbria Flood Recovery Appeal on behalf of the Cumbria Community Foundation. Allan was delighted to be able to make such a contribution and was greeted by Carlisle Deputy Mayor, Cllr Colin Stothard and Charity representative, Robin Burgess at the market.

Allan Hartwell said; “Our business values are heavily focused on supporting the communities in which we work and our strong links forged over the last 10 years with the Carlisle community mean we want to do what we can as a business to support the city. We hope our donation will help to make a difference to those affected by the flooding.”

In addition to the cheque, Market Place will be hosting a free Easter Egg Hunt for local families at the market where the children can win a free Easter Egg, all you have to do is find the egg images hiding amongst the trader’s stalls.
