Market Place to celebrate St Patrick's Day in Lincoln

This March Lincoln BIG is working with Market Place Europe to bring the returning Continental Market to Lincoln along the High Street where there will be a huge range of traders, tasty foods and unique craft from all across the globe. From Thursday 17th March to Sunday 20th March 2016 Lincoln will be bursting with flavour and a fantastic family friendly atmosphere, offering visitors the opportunity to visit a number of countries and try something different.

One of the many traders who will be visiting Lincoln is King of Afrika Unite, bringing a fantastic range of handmade arts and crafts including designer jewellery made solely out of recycling old cutlery. King is an Ambassador for his village Wrongtime which is located in Zimbabwe.



Here Afrika Unite hires local residents to professionally and carefully make the wired products whilst King makes his own bespoke rings and bracelets all made from recycled cutlery such as knives, forks and spoons. The success of this venture has enabled King to buy Wrongtime village an 80 kVA generator to independently create energy for the village as well as 2 tractors to assist in agricultural duties, all due to the sales and success of his products at the Continental Markets!

Some of the other Continental traders who will be in Lincoln for the 4-day event include Crepes Temptation who will be offering authentic French crepes with a selection of toppings as The Greek Grill House have some delicious gyros meat skewers, Greek dips and cheeses. Native Handicraft will also be bringing some beautiful and hand knitted South American Knitwear.

On Thursday 17th March we will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day as our traders will be dressed in green in honour of the emerald isle. If you’re not sure about something, just ask one of our friendly traders who will be more than happy to help. It is going to be the place to be!

Opening hours of the Continental Market are:
Thursday to Saturday: 09:00 to 18:00

Sunday: 10:00 to 17:00

Sheffield Global Village Market

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world! Along Fargate will be the Greek Grill House who along with business owner, Dimitrios will be offering the famous and extremely traditional flavours of Greece. From Wednesday 2 nd to Sunday 6 th November 2016, Market Place will be returning to Sheffield with an array of traders representing a number of countries from across the world. Bringing the very best flavours, crafts and goodies, there is bound to be something for everyone at this family friendly event.
