Market Place are all set to celebrate Mother's Day in Sheffield



Market Place will be testing your taste buds this spring as we bring tangible authentic continental flavour to Sheffield this March! Visitors will be able to explore the essence of a number of countries as our traders will be travelling from all corners of the globe especially for this event!

Fargate and Town Hall Square will be alive with a fantastic family friendly atmosphere as our colourful 5-day market kicks off. The Greek Grill will be serving some traditionally freshly cut gyros and skewers as the Wiltshire Chilli Farm will be bringing the heat with a variety of chilli based products including chocolate, jams, sauces and they even have Trinidad Scorpion Chilli, the hottest chilli in the world! 



 
Jimmy Bean will be in Sheffield with a huge selection of coffee beans and tea leafs. The London-based family business are always a poplar point of the market as shoppers can return to their all-time favourite or explore a range of new tastes only at the Global Village Market. Some of the weird and wonderful flavours include strawberries and cream, Banoffee Coffee and Liquorice flavoured tea to name but a few! 


Market Place Markets Manager, Matthew Hartwell has said:
“We are really excited to return to Sheffield for the first time in 2016! As such a popular location, our traders always look forward to returning to Sheffield as we always have such a warm welcome and the event is always a great success!”

To celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday 6thMarch, our friendly Market Managers will be handing out beautiful roses to as many visiting mother’s as possible. Our regular traders, Dutch Flowers on Tour will be sourcing the roses from Holland where they collect all their products and then transport to Sheffield in a purposely built refrigerated lorry, just for the lovely mother’s at the Global Village Market! 


Our friendly traders look forward to welcoming visitors who are certain to experience a fun family day out with a difference.

Wednesday - Saturday: 09:00 to 17:30
Sunday: 10:00 to 17:00

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world! Along Fargate will be the Greek Grill House who along with business owner, Dimitrios will be offering the famous and extremely traditional flavours of Greece. After owning a busy restaurant in Zante, Dimitrios believes his tasty Greek foods are so popular because they take you back to your holiday as all ingredients from the Pitta Bread and flour used to the cooking methods are all traditional and authentic. Hungry shoppers will have plenty of culinary delicacies to choose from including authentic French cheeses, Spanish paella cooked to a traditional family recipe, Italian pizza cooked in a wood fire oven at the market, delicious Greek gyros, succulent hog roast and even Thai noodles!
