Glasgow in for Continental Treat!



Market Place are set to return to Glasgow this September for another fantastic Continental Market full of global goodies along Sauchiehall Street from Wednesday 23rd – Sunday 27th September 2015. 

Glasgow will be home to an array of traders from all over the world, bringing delicious foods and unique crafts, representative of their country of origin. Just some of the Global goodies which will be found along Sauchiehall Street include a range of Italian Catalan and Spanish tapas, Indian Cooking Sauces and Indian Foods, South American Jewellery and Knitwear, Italian Cheeses and Hams, Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Nachos and Churros, Thai chicken green curry wraps and more. 

Bailie Liz Cameron, Executive Member for Jobs and the Economy, said: “This Continental Market will bring us produce and products from Scotland, Europe and around the world, and I am sure it will be a great success. Glasgow city centre has a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars, and this market will complement what’s on offer by offering Glaswegians and visitors something that is a little different.”

We also have a range of local traders who will be bringing great products including delicious Traditional homemade Scottish chocolate confectionery, unique and beautiful upcycled furniture and gifts for the home, Ceramic garlic-grater plates and assorted ceramics, and smoked game products that will comprise of; Pheasant breasts and burgers as well as Roe deer venison steaks. The Continental Market is sure to get your taste buds wanting more!

There will be a number of fantastic traders representing countries from all over the globe including France, Italy, Holland, Poland, South Africa, Germany, Italy, Spain and many more, all found within the centre of Glasgow.

Harborough District Council is offering new food businesses the chance to test their business ideas for free at their award winning Harborough Indoor Market.
