Leicester to welcome burst of flavour to city centre

Market Place will be returning to Gallowtree and Humberstone this April for another celebration of Culture! From Wednesday 20^th - Sunday 24^th April, Leicester will be playing host to over 35 different traders who have come from all over the world, bringing an array of tastes and unique crafts!

The City Centre is going to be swamped with a fantastic atmosphere for this five-day event which is sure to offer something for everyone. There will be a fantastic range of Italian, Catalan and Spanish tapas, a Traditional German Schwenkgrill which will be offering a number of Bratwurst and Currywurst sausages. Crepes Temptation will also be in Leicester with a range of authentic French crepes as Meats of the World will have a selection of exotic meats including Ostrich, Crocodile and Wild Boar!

There will also be a fantastic range of Bonsai trees, South American Jewellery and Knitwear as well as the ever popular Dutch Flower market which will provide bulbs, plants, flowers and unique garden accessories, all transported from Holland.

To celebrate St George’s Day on Saturday 23^rd April we will be showcasing a number of local British traders including The Cherry Tree who will be bringing homemade Cherry tree jams, chutneys, preserves and curds. The Cherry Tree was founded in 1997 by a mother and daughter, who then began trading with Market Place at the beginning of 2014.

Many of the Cherry Tree products have been awarded a number of ‘The Great Taste’ awards over the years, and are hopeful that their new additions to their range in 2016 will peak interests again!

Sheffield Global Village Market

From Wednesday 6 th - Sunday 10 th July, Market Place will be bringing a huge selection of traders from across the globe to Sheffield for a fantastic 6-day Global Village Market. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with a great variety of tasty treats and unique crafts and gifts from all over the world! Along Fargate will be the Greek Grill House who along with business owner, Dimitrios will be offering the famous and extremely traditional flavours of Greece.
